FDOT to Present PD&E Study for the Brickell Avenue Corridor in February

The Florida Department of Transportation District VI will conduct a kick off information meeting to discuss the PD&E (Project Development & Environment) Study for the proposed improvements to SR5/Brickell Avenue from S of S.E. 25th Road to S.E. 4th Street in Miami-Dade County. The public meeting will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2005 - 6:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Miami, located at 609 Brickell Avenue, Miami, Florida.

The subject study will recommend preliminary design improvements based on an analysis of the Brickell corridor. The Study will recommend safety, operational and aesthetic improvements based on an analysis of the existing conditions, typical sections, traffic patterns, right-of-way requirements, environmental impacts, and the cost to implement the improvements.

This meeting is held as an information exchange with the general public with special interests in the Brickell Avenue corridor. Graphic displays will be showcased at this meeting and Department representatives will be on hand during the meeting to informally discuss the project and answer questions. Residents are encouraged to attend and review this important transportation improvement study.
